Caged

Though it's twilight,
the dark seems so thick.
With shadows on the walls,
Playing scenes like a movie,
All memories on display.
Screams break the silence,
As chains rattle on bricks.
Feathers float in the distance,
And blood stains the hall.
Ashes consuming
Where fire once raged.
Once again,
Bound and caged.
Fading from sight,
Is nothing worth this fight?
